Our Expectations

All Students must maintain must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and must complete community service (6) hours every month. They must display respect in and out of school and must conduct the same at the organization. RJCHF employs a mental health specialist to provide evaluations and regular ongoing counseling for our boys.
ARTS AND CRAFTS

Rickey Jackson Community Hope Foundation mentees are exposed to arts and crafts, sewing, fashion, NFL games, sports, exercise, music, crocheting and more. Each student are in at least one of these activities weekly. Mentors also support and encourage our students in their extracurricular activities by attending their games.

GROUP MENTORSHIP

Our tutoring program and mentorship consists of picking up students from school for those who do not have transportation. We provide academic assistance and development and overall character building. We host group mentor-ship sessions every other Saturday to cover topics:

etiquette anger management work ethic
time management moral reasoning leadership
decision-making life skills teamwork & integrity
critical thinking

PREPARE FOR COLLEGE

Rickey Jackson Community Hope Foundation offers each student one on one support to identify interests and goals. The goal is to create college track and career plans to connect with internship programs and or/ apprenticeship experiences. Our program fundamentals are built on preparing students for life after high school.

TUTORING

Rickey Jackson Community Hope Foundation students are in need of educational support with qualified tutors. Our volunteer educators are in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish school system, college students, and college graduates.

COLLEGE TUITION ASSISTANCE

Rickey Jackson Community Hope Foundation provides scholarships and tuition assistance to those scholars who have completed the program. Five High School seniors are awarded $1,000.00 who have maintained the GPA and remained in the program, and have made overall improvements. The funds are to assist with books, out of state fees (rule and restrictions apply).
